Divorce Recovery is a journey only you can make, but you shouldn't have to make it alone.

It has been said that "First we make our choices, then our choices make us." The first choice we make is who we hang with.

Proverbs 13:20 says, "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."

Man, that is true! Rene Descartes started us on a path of radical individualism when he finally concluded that at bottom, “I think, therefore I am.” But the Africans (and more tribal communities) have always known, “I am because we are.”

I (Dale) recently joined a new church close to us. I had to make a choice--to remain anonymous, uncommitted, coming only on Sundays then slipping away? Or jump in with a men's group and see where God could lead?

Guys, I was tempted to hide out! I know, sounds weird for Mr. Connection! But I didn't take the bait.

I joined a small men's group that meets 6.00 a.m. on Friday mornings. Though that is early, some great things have happened in less than two months. I have two guys who are going to be me back into road cycling and Kelly (my wife) and I have already had dinner with another young couple (both new to Christ).

So... jump in! I confess it is tough to give up 'me' time. But 'me' time is better served if we balance it with 'we' time. God not only will bless you but use you to bless others.
